Postpartum Consultation
Whether you are just getting started or have run into difficulty, we will do a thorough assessment and come up with a plan to support you in moving forward towards your feeding goals.
Seek assessment if you have:
Milk supply difficulties (too much or too little)
Nipple or breast pain and/or wounds
Mastitis / abscess
Difficulty latching / feeding at the breast
Fussiness / breast or bottle refusal
Poor infant weight gain
Possible tongue-tie that needs assessment
Medical issues in the parent or infant affecting infant feeding, including illness, genetic conditions, surgery, intensive medical treatments, etc.
Fourth Trimester Care
Supporting families as they navigate the transition to parenthood. Guidance on optimizing family health during the first 3 months with your newborn.
Prenatal Guidance
Education, preparation and anticipatory guidance will be provided to help you navigate the immediate postpartum period and get your feeding journey off to a good start.
Prenatal breastfeeding education is recommended for all parents, however it is especially valuable if you have:
Previous breastfeeding challenges
Breast or nipple concerns
Previous breast surgery
Would like to induce lactation in a non-birthing parent
Are expecting twins/multiples
Mental health challenges
Expected NICU stay / infant complications
Maternal medical/hormonal issues which may affect lactation, such as diabetes, insulin resistance, PCOS, obesity, or a history of infertility.
