Postpartum Consultation

Wherever you are in your feeding journey, we will do a thorough assessment and come up with a plan to support you in moving forward towards your feeding goals.

Seek assessment if you have:

  • Mastitis / abscess

  • Milk supply difficulties (too little or too much)

  • Nipple or breast pain and/or wounds

  • Safety questions about medical procedures / medications while breastfeeding

  • Poor infant weight gain

  • Infant feeding aversion / refusal

  • Infant with severe reflux or blood in stool

  • Possible tongue-tie that needs assessment

  • Medical issues in the parent or infant affecting infant feeding, including illness, genetic conditions, surgery, intensive medical treatments, etc.

Induced Lactation

Helping non-birthing parents to make milk.

Appropriate for all non-birthing expectant parents, including those who are adopting, having a child by surrogacy, or wanting to feed a child delivered by their loved-one/partner.

*More preparation time = more milk, so early referral is recommended!

Prenatal Assessment

For specialized assessment and management of significant breast or mental health concerns during pregnancy. Education, preparation and anticipatory guidance will also be provided to help you navigate the immediate postpartum period and get your feeding journey off to a good start.

Prenatal breastfeeding assessment is recommended if you have:

  • Breast or nipple concerns or symptoms which have developed in pregnancy
